IMEG is hiring an Electrical Designer in Broomall, PA, to work closely with experienced engineers and consultants in delivering engineering solutions that support positive client outcomes. In this role, you will assist with the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems for buildings while helping projects stay aligned with budget, goals, and client expectations. You'll also collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout project delivery.
Principal Responsibilities
Assist with the design and analysis of electrical systems in accordance with code requirements and IMEG standards
Create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations using engineering software and tools
Interact with clients to gather project requirements and communicate technical information effectively
Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication
Support consulting project execution, including project planning and scheduling tasks to meet deadlines and objectives
Document design decisions and client instructions while monitoring project design progress
Analyze low- to medium-complexity engineering tasks and collaborate with senior engineers and consultants on practical, efficient solutions
Participate in IMEG quality control processes to help ensure designs meet IMEG, industry, and client requirements
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and contribute to research and innovation efforts within IMEG
Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work and help identify and mitigate risks associated with electrical systems
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals
Required Qualifications and Skills
Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Engineering preferred
3 years of experience minimum required, 4 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of principles relating to circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems design for buildings
Knowledge of industry standard engineering software and tools, including lighting photometric calculation software such as AGI, Elum Tools, Visual Lighting, or similar; energy compliance software such as ComCheck; familiarity with Adobe or Bluebeam Revu; and proficiency in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and CTC Revit Add-In Tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays

State of Nevada Salary Range: $71,000 - $94,000 Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
